The climate has changed

The climate has changed.According to measurements our life is influenced by global warning. The level of carbon-dioxid is getting higher and higher; the average temperature is increasing more and more. The speed at which the level of carbon-dioxid  is increasing make us worrying about the future. This process  affects most of the animals and plants.

What can we do? Do you know any idea about solutions in  the present and future? What do you think abou this situation?

The best way to do away with global warming is take all the advocates of GW together and throw them into the Sun to make it cooler.

I don't think there is a real solution to climate change that we will all collectively accept. I am currently working towards a master's degre in wildlife biology and for my thesis project I am studying how climate change is affecting the vegetation that caribou eat in northern Alaska.

I think one of the main underlying problems of climate change is human overpopulation. No matter what solution we introduce to reduce climate change, this will only increase other problems (if we put up more wind turbines, more birds will fly into them; if we put up more solar panels, less plants will grow in the shade, etc...). It all just stems down to too many damn people.

It sounds drastic and crazy, but I think we need to think more about moving onto other planets in the distant future. We'll never be able to return Earth to a state that it's been in the past (and this would be impossible anyways as it's always changing even if humans are out of the picture), but if we want to continue growing as a species we need to find more room to expand. Otherwise we'll destroy this planet.

Carbon dioxide*.

And as for the subject matter, I doubt any of our opinions are relevant, and even fewer are informed (unless there are frequent posters on this site who are also climatologists). For what it's worth, I fully agree that it's a serious problem, and it's even more serious that there are people pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into denialist campaigns in order to keep doing whatever unethical things they're doing. But this discussion is highly unlikely to garner any remotely useful insights from any perspectives; if you want to help, go volunteer with non-profit groups or something, because asking a bunch of random people on a language-learning site about complex scientific studies isn't going to do much.

Well, the book I was reading today stated that it is not so much that carbon traps solar energy, but just that the presence of it in the atmosphere allows more of it (solar heat) to come through. This would explain why winters can still at present be so cold.

I have monitered the automobile industry a little bit...I think the car company devoting the most research to hydrogen propulsion might be daimler-benz. I looked through their website and i remember reading about this. It is possible that for these companies (auto manufacturers) to survive and still be competitive and profitable throughout this shift (if it occurs), legislation need to be enacted to protect them from economic harm or an inability to compete with other car companies. I have no real practical idea of how this could be done though. I do think think that in China (one of the fastest emerging market), there are lower emissions standards.
