You'll see it's much more than having a "good" topic.  Personally, unless I'm doing a specific writing exercise, I try to write a funny little story. It doesn't need to be long at all.

No particular subject captures my attention. But, I do tend to answer questions that are short as opposed to long. Sometimes, when people write long entries, they are full of errors and they take time to correct. I don't usually have the time to correct those types of entries.
