Many students are asked to evaluate their professors at the end of the semester. At the and of the school year or semester, as usual, students are asked to evaluate their teacher’s\ professor’s quality of teaching, communication, etc. in order to receive fair feedback about them. I definitely see some advantages which I shall explain further in the essay. To begin with, students do not evaluate a professor by his personal characteristics, but by the quality of teaching, communication among the class during the lesson and teacher’s attitude. When these criteria are acceptable professor independently on his age, sex, and other personal factors, will receive a good rating. Nevertheless, if there were some troubles during the semester and a professor indeed did not relate to students appropriately, as a result, his rating would be low. It may give some suspicions to administration\commission about his professionalism. In my personal experience, in fifth grade, I had an English teacher Victoria. She hardly ever appeared on our lessons, however, even if she did, Victoria had never tough us English because she always used to talk us through her private life and her relationships, which was, of course, not the best thing to discuss in English lessons. At the end of the semester, when we needed to evaluate our teacher, Victoria received a very low rate. As a result, she was fired and the school hired a new amazing English teacher with whom we are still in a good relationship. In addition, evaluation helps not only administration receive feedback about teachers but also teachers themselves. For instance, if they got a low rate at some special category, they perhaps would work on themselves to improve their skills exactly there. Besides, an objective evaluation would help them to avoid past mistakes in the future. In conclusion, I pen down saying that the evaluation of professors\teachers at the end of the semester is definitely the right decision. Firstly, because it helps the administration to receive fair feedback about their employees. Secondly, this method helps the teacher to develop their professionalism themselves.

At the end of the school year or semester, students are normally asked to evaluate their teacher’s quality of teaching, communication, etc. in order to give the school some fair feedback about them. I definitely see some advantages to this which I shall now explain.

To begin with, students do not evaluate a professor by his personal characteristics, but by his quality of teaching, communication in the class during the lesson and his attitude. When these criteria are acceptable the professor, independently on his age, sex, and other personal factors, will receive a good rating.

Nevertheless, if there were some troubles during the semester and a professor did not indeed relate to students adequately, his rating would be low. This can alert the administration to his lack of professionalism. In my personal experience, in fifth grade, I had an English teacher, Victoria.
