To Trick The Eye
Here's a new word for you to learn. Actually it comes from French. Trompe l'oeil. It is now part of the English language. It means "to trick the eye". Now the problem is how to pronounce this word. Since it came from French, it should be pronounced in the French way. However, most English speakers find difficulty in pronouncing the two words in l'oeil. So it becomes much simpler and easier on the tongue. In US English, it is pronounced something like "tromp loy" and in British English, it sounds something like, "trom ploy".

The photo is an example of trompe l'oeil by John Pugh. This mural is on Main Street of Los Gatos in California. Now you know exactly what a trompe l'oeil is... If you are interested, google John Pugh or "trompe l'oei" and see more examples. Even the woman peering into the mural is also fake.

Yep ,to describe the process of learning English with a Chinese sentence is “入门容易学深难” ,which means it's easy to learn English at the beginning ,but it will be more and more difficult to study it deeply.

That's what makes English so flexible, expressive and so difficult to learn!

Haha. Not too bad. I couldnt realize why the pic is unusual until finished reading your essay. It is quite like an authentic broken wall.
Now I know why there are so many words in English. There are much French, Latin, Greek, etc., in English, even Chinglish. It is a mix language.
