Should a new movie theatre be built in your neighborhood?

Some people might disagree with this idea as it will bring pollution, noise and traffic into our neighborhood. Yet I believe that the advantages of building a theater in our community outweigh its disadvantages. I support my idea with the following arguments:

First and foremost, building a new movie theater will provide career opportunities for a lot of jobless people who live in my community. Everyone knows about the evil results of unemployment.  However, I believe that this problem will most likely be resolved since many people will be employed by the movie theater and the related commercial facilities. For example, shopping centers or restaurants built around the movie theatre for the people who come to watch the movies; therefore many sorts of job opportunities will be created in this area.

Furthermore, living in a small town, we do not have any entertaining places to go to on the weekends. Although the area is very beautiful and has fantastic natural attractions, residents are always complaining about the boring life in my town. There is a need for entertaining places like a stadium or movie theatre around us.  For example, if we decide to go to a movie theatre in the nearest city, we have to spend at least one hour commuting which totally ruins the pleasure of watching the movie. The money needed for commuting and buying tickets also adds up.

Finally, people will have the chance to communicate with each other while they are going to watch a movie. I believe that building a movie theater encourages people to go outside. They can meet others and exchange information and share ideas together. This way, they will enjoy both watching movies and catching up with each other. As such, a movie theatre could be a good place for socializing and strengthening the friendships.

In conclusion, I think it would be beneficial for us to have a movie theater in this area. It provides job opportunities, and a good place for entertainment and communication.
