Essay : WHY SHOULD I GO TO THE HMCE IN MADRID

When I saw the advertisement for the Harvard Model Congress Europe- Madrid for the first time, I thought it was too much for someone of my age. I mean, it sounded exaggerating.
Then I started thinking: What could I do, if I were there? As I would like to go to an University abroad, this kind of conference would help a lot, especially because I´m not sure if I would like to study languages or political studies. As we do not have real debates here, I´ve organised some by myself, debating with my friends and relatives. But it was nothing special, because we already knew what would the opposite side would say, as we have almost the same beliefs. Then I realised I need something more, maybe to go somewhere and discuss some of the main world challenges with other people from all over the world. It sounded exciting, because I would like to share my opinion with someone else and hear their own thoughts about the same problem. I think it is the main thing that all the world leaders always forget: conversation. There would be no war if they considered their thoughts and reasonably talked with someone. As an individual, I couldn´t do much, but when I called my friends, we were a group. As a group, we are now trying to fight poverty in our town, by volunteering and helping old and disabled persons (mentioned in my Curriculum Vitae ). If we could do the same thing on the global instance, maybe the world would change into a better place for everybody.
All things considered, I believe this is a quite good reason why should I should be invited to attend the Harvard Model Congress Europe in Madrid.

I believe the small mistakes are just because of carelessness.^_^

By the way, I am Jason Gu from China. Glad to meet you. You seem to be a passionate and kind girl. But there is one thing in your article I do not agree. I think even the most sincere conversations do not always solve the problems. Because there are no eternal freindships but eternal interests between countries. They do not do what they can to defend the peace, the benefit of all mankind. They always try to game to maximize their own interests, which does not always lead to a win-win end.
