There is a great course for Croatian/Serbian here : http://fsi-languages.yojik.eu/languages/serbo-croatian.html it is a book issued by the US government that was used to train their diplomats. It is a great course, and I'm using it right now. It's written in English, but you know english very well so I think you could use it :)
