Anecdote When I was 10-years-old, my parents and I went to my grandma’s house to celebrate the Chinese New Year. For lunch, we had eaten lots of delicious food and had chatted with our family about daily life. After lunch, my cousins and I had decided to set off the fireworks. We were very excited about that, because it was our first time to set off the fireworks. Before set off the fireworks, our parents told us should be careful. Before set off the fireworks, parents told us should avoid getting hurt. In fact, we took parent’s words like a passing wind. When my cousins set off the fireworks, because my curiosity, I ran ahead to see the fireworks. After a few minutes, the fireworks blew up in my face. My father had no sooner seen me than he sent me to the hospital. After the fireworks event, I realized that “Curiosity killed the cat.” Whenever I seen the scar on my face, I will warn myself that curiosity is used in the wrong place, will harm ourselves.
