proposal to italki dashboard layout
How many users knew the meaning of following others on italki, I mean does it make any difference compare with before you following him/her? As what I just found by chance, the plain "SOCIAL UPDATE", near the bottom of dashboard, is clickable! I really want to piss on italki's dashboard design!
1, The Student Tasks keep displaying on the top, this tutorial should be for a fresh user right? How about adding a check to decide an experienced user and cancel it, or just providing a button to make it can be closed by user. This position of dashboard is most important and should be utilized effectively.
2, Recently Online block is totally useless, just remove it permanently. Unless you can implement an chatting extension on page, like facebook do.
3,Recent Updates, there is no any hint that both social update and language update are clickable, they subtly disguise themselves in white background, as plain description text. italki display language update default, I understand it's tradeoff to encourage user correcting others' post, which benefits users(me included), but it decreases social feature indeed. Could italki redesign the layout to show both simultaneously? Or just give users an obvious entry to social update.
No idea if all of this bother only me.
