Fortress Besieged

I just finished reading a famous book called Fortress Besieged written by ZhongShu Qian. So I want to talk about something about this book. Firstly, I want to explain (the reason < not necessary) why I choose to read this book. I have heard about this book for a long time, but I hadn't read it before. Recently, many professional teachers have mentioned its name in our classes, so I felt more interested and curious about it. It was the curiosity that pushed me into its wonderful and funny world. The famous sentence in this book, which I believe most of Chinese people must know, is <(you need a main verb) "the people wondering out of the castle want to step into the castle, while the people living in it hope to go out." Those words can be used to portray the situations either in marriage or in enterprise. Here, I want to talk about the phenomenon (maybe idea is a better word than phenomenon) of the castle in marriage. This is a common saying (it's not common in English) just like saying that to marriage is like to get into the tomb (being entombed? being buried?): no passion ,no caring , no romance. I agreed with it before, and fell into a very strange circle (not the right word - maybe state of mind? When you fall into a circle it means you joined a group of people), in this state of mind, I doubt whether a man can really fall in love, here, I emphasize love with a woman forever. No matter whether it is before a marriage or after. Those romantic and sweet words of love play some role in our love stories. If we can believe we are the only one in the very heart of your lover, then the question is: if I suddenly find that your husband seems to turn into another person, who doesn't love you more than before, what should I do, take it or leave it? I mean I considered these ideas before. I have to say, I changed my mind after I read about those moving love stories between Celine Dion and Rene, between Echo and Jose. I believe there still exists lots of pure and eternal love between a man and a woman, just like the lyrics, "I am your lady, you are my man, this is the power of love." All in all, what I want to say is that, if we are so lucky enough to find the our true love, our marriage will be wonderful heaven and not a tomb. No one can take us out of our castle. I mean so lucky here (I am so lucky). But I still believe that most of the people are not so lucky, so there exists a phenomenon of castle around their lives.
