If I were a book...

I wouldn't be an easy book.
Anxious people would stop reading me because I wouldn't be the kind of book that hooks people in the first pages. Although I assure you that the people that kept reading would love the story that I would tell. I would probably be either a sci-fi or a fantasy book, because these genres make the impossible, possible in our minds. But don't think that I would be the kind of book to get you out of the real world, an escapism escapist book. I would probably talk about real problems, but in a different way. I would be happy if I could make you think about how you can help to solve these problems. One of the chapters would be called "enjoying the sunrise" in which the protagonist, after a long night trying to write, would go out to see the first sunrise in his whole life and would realize how we don't enjoy the little things of life. And at the end of the story, I would be an open-ended book. They are always the most interesting books. It would be up to you to reflect about my story and get what you think it's is important to your life.

Grammar notes:

(1) it's "hooks" because the relative clause here (started by "that") is in the indicative mood. 

(2) "an escapism" doesn't really make sense, since "escapism" refers to a <em>concept</em>.  (I'm not sure if "escapismo" in Portuguese would work in a translation of the sentence).  You could replace "escapism" with what I have above, or you could say something like, "... a kind of escapism."

(3) "Get" is gramatically fine, but probably not the best word choice in the last sentence.  "Understand" might be a little less ambiguous.
