The 17th day I attended international exchange party, but 95% were Japanese! I spoke English for only about 10 minutes. :( Step by step… By the way, I found I had left my bicycle at the station when I got home... Why did I walk back to home? I went back to pick up it. Double handling! 国際交流パーティー行ったけど、95%日本人! 10分くらいしか英語話さなかった。 一歩一歩。。。 余談だけど、家ついたら、駅に自転車忘れたの気づいた。 なぜ歩いて帰宅した? 取りに戻った。 二度手間!

The 17th day

I attended an (or "the" if the person you are talking about already knows about the party みんなはパーティーのことが知ってるなら”the”を使ったほうがいいんです。) international exchange party, but 95% of the people there were Japanese! ("95% were Japanese" もうそうなに悪くないと思う)
I spoke English for only about 10 minutes. :(
Step by step… One step at a time…

(本当に“一歩一歩”は“step by step”でも僕には日本語の“一歩一歩学ばなければなりません。”と英語の“You must learn step by step.”はちょっと違うと思います。日本語のほうは“少しずつ“ と同じな意味がするですね。英語には”step by step”の意味は“段階を踏んで“ とか ”一つずつ“と思います。The direct translation of “一歩一歩” is literally “step by step”but for me the meaning of sentences like”一歩一歩学ばなければなりません” and “you must learn step by step”is different. The meaning of the Japanese version is closer to “One step at a time”, right? In English “step by step...”sounds more like you are following instructions, or a specific order, rather than slowly working towards a goal “one step at a time.” )

By the way, I found noticed I had left my bicycle at the station when I got home...
Why did I walk back to home?
I went back to pick up it.
Double handling!

(英語に”二度手間”の言葉はないと思います;I don’t think there is a phrase in English for “二度手間”I would say something like “Twice as much work!”but it’s not really a set phrase. )

国際交流パーティー行ったけど、95%日本人!
10分くらいしか英語話さなかった。
一歩一歩。。。

余談だけど、家ついたら、駅に自転車忘れたの気づいた。
なぜ歩いて帰宅した?
取りに戻った。
二度手間!

By the way/Incidentally, as soon as I arrived home, I found remembered I had left my bicycle at the station when I got home...
Why did I walk back to home?
I went had to trudge back to pick up it.

Such a waste of effort!
Double handling!
