I am moving to Japan next month and I have a question Hi everyone, I am moving to Japan next month for a year to do research in Japan. I am wondering whether I should look for an apartment close to university or further away and cheaper. So if I buy a student commuting ticket, can I usually only use this to commute to university or also to travel for different reasons like on the weekends or for going into the nearby city (which is not too far away from campus)?
