About me. My name is Josephine, and I am from a small village called Castleton in England. Castleton is in the centre of England, near a large town called Sheffield. I currently live in a small town called Chesterfield, which is also near Sheffield. I am 29 years old, and have a younger brother called Robert. My brother lives in Poland with his wife Karolina. My parents are called Pauline and Robert, and they still live in Castleton where I grew up. I studied Law and Sociology at university, but decided afterwards that I wanted to be an English teacher! I moved to France, and started teaching English to French people. When I moved to France, I didn't speak French. It was very difficult for me! But, because I had to speak French every day, I learned French quite quickly, and now I am fluent in French. My hobbies are walking, swimming, reading, writing, travel, and learning about new cultures and languages. I like to read about history, science and different cultures! That's just a little bit about me :) P.S. The photo is of me, my brother and his wife at their wedding in 2012.

Hi Josephine. Sorry, I made a mistake when I told you about small cities in Brazil, I forgot the negatives. Here we DON'T have good schools, DON'T have efficient public transportation to go to largest cities nearby and we CAN'T find good places to eat. The Brasilian's small cities stopped in time. Now, I think you can understand why I want to say.... Nowadays I have been living in Brasilia since 2010. The life here is quieter than the RJ. RJ is a beautiful city with great beaches and happy people with a special lifestyle We apreciate outsides sports, running and walking.

Hi Jacqueline! Thank you for your comment. Oh, that's very interesting that in Brazil you marry at night, in a church! Normally in the UK, we marry during the day, and then have a party at night :) My brother and his wife married in church, because she is a Catholic, but they had a party during the day to welcome all the guests. Wow, it must be very interesting to live in Rio de Janeiro. In the UK, Rio de Janeiro is a symbol of Brazil, and many people want to visit this city to experience the unique Brazilian culture. It's very interesting to learn that life in Brazil's small towns is very different. I don't live in France anymore, because I returned to the UK in 2013. But when I was in France I lived for 2 years in Toulouse, and 3 years in Marseille. Marseille is a wonderful city, with beautiful scenery, an interesting history and a lively atmosphere! What about you? Do you currently live in Rio de Janeiro? Do you enjoy life there?

Hi Josephine, I liked very much read about you and I loved the photo too, it looks like the weddings that we see on the movies. The weddings in Europe use to be outsides, here in Brazil we usually marry at night and in the church. I can´t imagine how is to live in a small city because I grow up in Rio de Janeiro and I've never lived in a small city but when I travel and see the Europe´s villages, I think it can be a dream to live in this places. Here in Brazil, the life in a small city is very different than life in Europeans small cities, because there you have good schools, efficient public transportation to go to largest city nearby, you can find good places to eat and here the small cities stopped in time. Do you continue to live in France? Which city do you live?
