Instead of 처음 뵙겠습니다, you could also say 만나서 반갑습니다. Or, in a politeness level equivalent to the rest of this writing, 만나서 반가워요.

이에요 is all one word. There is no space between the N and 이다 (이에요/예요, 입니다, etc forms).

저는 한국어를 공부해요...["-(하)고 있어요" is "present" progressive form of a verb, not past tense. Both "공부해요" and "공부하고 있어요" work here. I don't have any preference.]
