Hard work, luck, and success

When people succeed in doing something, it is because of their hard work, but luck has a lot to do with it too/but luck too plays a major ( contibutive) part/role.
Luck is often the deciding factor that turns years of hard work/working hard into success. Luck has
helped people to invent and discover things; it has helped people to become famous, and it
has helped people to get jobs. ( find employment)

Many people have discovered or invented things with the help of luck. Columbus
worked hard for years to prepare for his trip around the world. Many thought he was
crazy, but still he was able to get the support for his endeavor. He worked hard to be able to
sail /(make his trip) to India, but it was by sheer luck that he actually found the Americas instead.
 
Luck can help people become famous. 

Lets us take movie stars for examples .

Many of them work hard in their jobs in order to afford acting classes . They work in humble/ small, low-paying jobs while they are still working on their acting (experience).One day,maybe,a lucky actor will be given a certain part in a movie that will get him noticed. Or he may meet a movie director at the right time and place. / Or he may meet a movie director at the most opportune moment.
Years of hard work bring him close to success, but that one lucky meeting finally helps
him succeed.

Because of luck, many people have found jobs. A person may spend weeks writing and
sending out resumes, looking at 'Help Wanted 'ads, and going for job interviews, but often
it is because of luck that a job hunter meets the person who will give him or her a job, or
hears of an opportunity that isn't advertised in the newspaper.

But ,often than not ,it is down to luck to help him out , like meeting someone who unexpectedly has a job opening for him or a job opening that is found in the most unlikely places .

Being in the right place at the right time is often what gets a person a job, and that is all about luck.

It is certainly difficult to be successful without hard work, but hard work also
needs to be helped by a little luck. Luck has helped many people, both famous and
ordinary, to become successful. I think that luck and hard work  should go hand in hand.
