Song translations, pt. 2.
Greetings!
I've tried to do another translation. The song is called "Ragnarok", and it is performed by the Serbian heavy metal project called "RUNE". I used a printed dictionary in 95% of the cases when I had to, but there were two words / phrases I had to look up online.
Rune - Ragnarok
Gledam u blistavu svetlost -- I glance at the shining lights,
Borealis Aurore -- the Aurora Borealis,
Legenda vekovima stara -- A centuries old legend
Uklesana sija odozgore -- engraved, shining from above.
Desiće se poslednja bitka -- Later (Someday?) a battle will happen,
Bogova Asire -- The Gods of Æsir,
I ratnika Valhale! -- and warriors of Valhalla!
Širom će neba leteti glave -- The heads will fly across the sky.
Ref:
I Bog Vatre zapaliće nebo -- And the fire-god will set the sky ablaze,
A zemlja će postati led -- and the land will turn to ice.
Novo doba će doneti Ragnarok -- Rangarök will be the new age
Na njega tek dolazi red -- in it, a new order comes.
Povešće Odin sve -- Odin brings everyone,
Sve same bogove -- all the gods themselves,
Da unište divove -- to destroy the giants
Zaleđene Lokijeve -- froze Loki (tbh i don’t get this part)
Od Torovog Mjolnira -- From Thor’s Mjolnir
Pašće zmija Midgarda -- falls the Midgard snake
I on od njenog otrova -- and he (Thor falls) from her venom,
U poslednjoj borbi bogova -- At last the warrior gods (fall). (?)
(Ref.)
Znam da doći će kraj -- I know the end will come
Zimi vetra, mača i vuka -- winter winds, the cat and the wolf,
Znam da doći će taj -- I know this will come
Početak Ragnarok -- Ragnarök begins
Znam da doći će kraj -- I know the end will come
Kraj svetu kakvog sada poznajem -- The end of the world as we know („kagvog sada“ – is some sort of a commonly used saying, is it?)
Znam da doći će kraj -- I know the end will come
KRAJ! SADA VERUJEM! -- THE END! I BELIEVE NOW!
(Ref.)
I na sve vas će doći red -- ... and for y'all a new order will come.

Rune - Ragnarok
Gledam u blistavu svetlost -- I glance at the shining lights, (singular)
Borealis Aurore -- (light) of the Aurora Borealis,
Legenda vekovima stara -- A centuries old legend
Uklesana sija odozgore -- engraved, shining from above.
Desiće se poslednja bitka -- Later (Someday?) a battle will happen, the final battle will happen
Bogova Asire -- (the battle) of The Gods of Æsir,
I ratnika Valhale!
Novo doba će doneti Ragnarok -- Rangarök will be the new age - I'm not sure if it's be or bring. it depends on the syntactic roles of Ragnarok and doba, so it's be if Ragnarok is the object and it's bring if it's the subject in which case doba is the object. word order in Serbian can be really confusing. all in all, my guess is - the new age will bring Ragnarok
Na njega tek dolazi red -- in it, a new order comes. - its (Ragnarok's) turn is just coming
Povešće Odin sve -- Odin will brings everyone,
Sve same bogove -- all the gods themselves, - I think there's no need for themselves, it's more like he will bring just the gods, that is, only they will be brought
Da unište divove -- to destroy the giants
Zaleđene Lokijeve -- froze Loki (tbh i don’t get this part) - frozen, Loki's (referring to giants, they are frozen and they are Loki's - genitive case)
Od Torovog Mjolnira -- From Thor’s Mjolnir
Pašće zmija Midgarda -- falls the Midgard snake will fall
I on od njenog otrova -- and he (Thor falls) from her venom, great
U poslednjoj borbi bogova -- At last the warrior gods (fall). (?) - in the last battle/fight of gods
(Ref.)
Znam da doći će kraj -- I know the end will come
Zimi vetra, mača i vuka -- for the winter winds, the cat and the wolf,
Znam da doći će taj -- I know this will come - the translation is correct, but this word just emphasizes the subject of the next verse (maybe like this: I know it will come, this *next verse* Ragnarok-beginning)
Početak Ragnarok -- Ragnarök beginsning - it's like Ragnarok-beginning
Znam da doći će kraj -- I know the end will come
Kraj svetu kakvog sada poznajem -- The end of the world as we know it („kagvog sada“ – is some sort of a commonly used saying, is it?) - it's not really :D
Znam da doći će kraj -- I know the end will come
KRAJ! SADA VERUJEM! -- THE END! I BELIEVE NOW!
(Ref.)
I na sve vas će doći red -- ... and for y'all a new order will come. your turn will come
doći će red na tebe - you turn will come
red means also order, but not in this case
