Social networks are usually open-access platforms, where anyone can join by providing a  few personal details. This humble mechanism of registration can be exploited by providing fake information. This easy access feature made

the networks vulnerable to be misused in different harmful methods ways. Some users would intentionally publish fake news which disturbs the peace of societies. Others use it to mess with people minds and opinions. In addition, some would use it to trade with illegal products. These acts cause many losses in life and money.

From my point of view, I would partially agree that this technology has enormous negative effects on our world.  And the reason I partially agree in part is, I believe these networks can be made more safe.This could be achieved if administrators of these networks apply strict policies and regulations. For instance, users would have to provide certified and official identification documents in order to benefit from gain full access. These protocols would make it easy to reach track individuals who cause the previously Drawbacks. problems. (I hope this is what you meant ? I am a little uncertain. If the protocols are a preventative measure instead, you would say "These protocols would make it easy to prevent users causing problems")

In conclusion, any tool can be misused if it was were offered to the public without instructions and restrictions. Social networks could can accomplish their intended goals of connecting a peaceful world by simply adopting some laws and a verified registration process.
