It was a beautiful sunny day. We picked up Great-Grandma for lunch and then strolled through the Spring Festival flower market. Today was the opening day, so many stands and vendors were still setting up. Great-Grandma has a green thumb, but even her skills pale in comparison to the professionals here. Some of the refined (?) flowers in pots even fooled her at first. She thought they were faux until she touched them. Flower arranging is definitely an art form. But the way Mom put it was like, in most cases, “art” is just another word for “money laundering.” Can you imagine paying hundreds of bucks for a few flowers in a pot? What a rip off! Who is buying them?
