Yesterday I saw the first five episodes of “Making the cut”, an American reality TV series created by the model Heidi Klum. The series is about a fashion designer’s competition, so I leant a lot of new words related to / pertaining to the fashion world, and some American idioms. Moreover, I was impressed by all the stunning garments presented by the designers. They quickly made them in almost one night, gluing stuff, cutting and drawing prints with just the tailor’s help. They were very good at managing their stress. To win the competition they needed every single assignment to stand out from the rest of the competition and for that they took inspiration from Parisian and Japanese fashion styles (I suppose that is what you meant). I love the avant-gardist and freaky styles of some of their outfits / creations, they really expressed the cities(?) to the fullest. Plus, Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn and the judges were so hilarious. I like to watch it!
