It’s overcast and dank today, the view through the windows is excessively drear. Christmas is drawing near, only a few days till it. I haven’t bought presents yet, so this weekend I must have Christmas shopping done. I need to jot a list of presents, and furthermore, not forget like cane candies, gummy bears for the tree. Today's word is "furthermore". It’s a synonym of moreover. I love my thesaurus, it’s way more helpful than I thought.

Be careful with moreover. It really means an additional point to a point you have just written about, not a new point. I haven't done any Christmas shopping either!
