"A mystery of nurse's office at school." I heard from someone that students in the United States bring their medicines such as ibuprofen or tylenol (I mean OTC) to the  nurse's office in case of they have a sickness or injury. But if so, the office ended up having each student's medicines. I suppose the number is huge! Is it true or not?

I work in a middle school. Usually only students who have a perscription medication (like insulin or meds for ADHD) keep supplies in the school office. School employees can't give students ibuprofen or Tylenol. When I've had students get a headache or muscle ache, they usually call home and one of their parents has to bring them a pain reliever. At least that's how we do it in Twin Falls, Idaho. Our school doesn't have a nurse. There's only one that visits rarely.
