"you rock" can also mean " I like you a lot and I admire you"

That is a good way of defining it. "You rock" is kind of like saying "you're awesome" or "you're very cool".

If you say to someone 'you rock' ,it means he is good ,impressive etc..,it is an informal expression. If you say 'you rock me' , 'to rock someone' could mean to surprise or shock someone ( in a good or bad way). However 'rock someone's world' is an adult slang and has a peculiar meaning : - to have sexual intercourse with someone or to cause someone to have an orgasm.
