Best way to learn about Chinese culture and language? Hi, My family is traveling to China this month. We will visit several cities. We are looking for someone in each of the cities to accompany us as we visit important places and help us learn about your culture and language. My son has had 4 years of Chinese, and the remaining 3 of us are beginners. This would not be "formal" instruction; rather, we wish to learn words and phrases to help us in the context of situations during our day together. Of course, we will pay for your time. The cities we will visit: Beijing (July 10, 11, 12) Xi'an (July 13, 14) Chengdu (July 15, 16) Chongqing (July 16, 17) Guiyang (July 18, 19) Kunming (July 20, 21) A good teacher will be someone fun and a little adventurous. You do not need to be an experienced teacher. If you have a car that will transport the 4 of us, that's great, but not necessary (we can hire a taxi).
