what's the difference between the pronunciation of /r/,/ɹ/ and /ɾ/ in English? i don't understand if all the 3 consonants exist in English. If they do exist, can someone show me the difference and make some examples? thanks ^^ (and in German?)

The standard pronunciation of the German letter "R" in Hochdeutsch (Standard German) is [ʀ] or [ʁ]. These sounds are made in the very back of the throat similar to the French "R", but more guttural and deeper down near the Adam's apple. This sound does not occur in English at all that I can think of. Some dialects/accents of German have a rolled "R", /r/. The only English accent I can think of that has rolled "R"s is Scottish. The /ɾ/ sound is equivalent to the R sound in Spanish, such as the word "pero" /ˈpeɾo/. The word "perro" /ˈpe.ro/ in Spaish has the rolled R /r/ sound. In English the /ɾ/ sound occurs in words that have TT, DD, T, D, inbetween two vowels and is in the middle of a multisyllabic word (at least for American English). Examples are: better, ladder, letter, little
