How to know the different in Love mean in korean What is the different between the word mean : "Saranghae" or "Saranghanda" or "Saranghamida" ? I knew that those word mean "I love You" in English. But why one is spell "saranghae" or one is spell "saranghanda" or "saranghamida" or etc?? Can anyone help me to explain the different ?

they all have the same meaning but the formality changes. 사랑하다 is the base form, 사랑합니다 is formal, 사랑해요 is a little less formal (this is the most common), 사랑해 is informal to be used with people of your age that you are close to.

(basic form) 사랑합니다(ㅂ니다, added for formal, polite expression) 사랑해요(어요, added for spoken, informal, polite expression) 사랑해 (only conjugation, not polite expression, 반말) for example) I love you 저는 당신을 사랑합니다. 저는 당신을 사랑해요. 나는 너를 사랑해. ---- 사랑하시다 (시, added for honorific) 사랑하십니다 사랑하시어요. or 사랑하셔요(shorten word) 사랑하셔 (when somebody speaking with younger one or friends or family about some elder one's love) for example) My grandmother loves me. 저의 할머니께서는 저를 사랑하십니다. 저의 할머니께서는 저를 사랑하셔요. 나의 할머니께서는 나를 사랑하셔. 나의 할머니께서는 나를 사랑하신단다. 나의 할머니께서는 나를 사랑하시지.
