be replaced with,by/ be substituted with, for The hostility, antipathy and conflict which exist today, can be substituted with peace, tranquility and lawfulness in the world. Is it correct if I use "be substituent with" in the sentence above? Or I can only use "be replaced with/by" in that sentence? Thank you in advance.

Substituted for. I would say. Replaced by. Altered with. It's hard to know. Unless my brain has just finally died.

replaced by or replaced with Substitute generally takes the preposition for. One thing can be substituted for another. A can be substituted for B = A can take the place of B Substituting "for" for "with" in your sentence would give us: "The hostility, antipathy and conflict which exist today, can be substituted for peace, tranquility and lawfulness in the world." This means that hostility can take the place of peace, which may be true, but is not what you intend.
