차이(差異) means a difference, and 부분 or 점 means a part. So, 차이점(差異點) refers to "a different part" (of whole properties or attributes).
공통점(類似點), 서로 같은 점, or 서로 비슷한 점
차이점(差異點), 서로 다른 점, or 서로 차이가 나는 점.
이것과 저것은 이런 점/부분에서 차이가 난다.
이것과 저것의 차이점은 무엇이다.
