What's the grammar behind '기' in this sentence? What's the grammar behind '기' in this sentence? 한국어를 배우려고 노력하기 시작한다 = I start to try to learn Korean What meaning does it have? How can I use it? I haven't learned about it yet, I hope someone can explain it to me. If this sentence is not good for explanations or even wrong, maybe you can explain it for me with another example. 기 Is the English 'ing', add 기 after a verb stem. Examples: 쓰+기=쓰기-Writing 읽+기=읽기-Reading
