ください and お願いします sometimes have the same meaning,
ex) If you are in a cake shop, and you decided to purchase three cakes. Then, you will say as follows
「これとこれとこれをください」 by pointing out these three cakes.
Or
「これとこれとこれをお願いします」 by doing the same thing above.
お願いします is often used as an indepent phrase but くださいneeds the object with particle を as Adoemon says. And in the case of used as auxiliary verb, you can put only te-form before ください. Of course, you can put the object before お願いします with particle を too.
ex) ジュースをください ○ ジュースをお願いします ○
話してください ○ 話してお願いします ×
However.... そのことについて話して!お願いします! is fine.
