Are both the following sentences correct? I hope not to offend anyone. I hope to not offend anyone. If the answer is affermative, are there any differences of meaning? It seems to me that in the first one there is more emphasis. Am I right?

I would say that "I hope not to offend anyone" is more correct, as in "I hope to not offend anyone" you are splitting the infinitive.
