Il mange - Ils mangent
Hi, I dont know how french people can understand when someone says "Il mange une baguette et une orange" or "Ils mangent une baguette et une orange", because the pronunciation of "il" and "ils" is the same, and the pronunciation of "mange" and "mangent" is also the same!!, could you help me please??

I'm not a native but I believe that for present tense there is no way to know which one is being used except for context.
Usually when saying "he" or "they" you have to have already clearly stated the subject before. In some cases you can hear the difference, such as ils arrivent (il -Za-rrive) but otherwise they're indistinguishable.

The answer to your question lies in the context, simply. Whoever the reference to the pronoun is made to (whether a group of people or a single person) will answer your question.

I confirm, it depends on the context. There are many situations where words can be written differently and have the same pronunciation...
If I write you "il prend son vert d'eau", you could say It is really strange (I make a mistake or... he's crazy)
The only solution is to reffer to the context
