Can you make up a few sentences using the phrasal verb to "knock about/around" something? Does it mean that you are sure that something you are looking for is in some place not far away, but you do not know or do not remember where it is exactly, right? Anyway, can you show me the way you use the phrasal verb colloquially? And is there a difference between to "knock about" and to "knock around" something? Thanks a lot for your attention! =)

This is very rare in American English, so I think it is British. "Knock about" - to wander around, to walk around many places (like traveling). "Knock around" - to fight or beat someone up. Someone from the UK can be more helpful than I am :)
