In my opinion, it is better to watch and listen to news or documentaries on TV. The speakers speak more clearly, the grammar is almost perfect, and the English pronunciation is perfect. Other TV programs are difficult to follow or understand because the language is not grammatically correct and many of the expressions are slang. That's my opinion and my advice.

Hello, Hellen. Since you are a native Spanish speaker, go on Youtube and type something like '"The Big Bang Theory' with Spanish subtitles" into the search bar. By doing this, you will not only find English clips of a show with Spanish subtitles, but you will also find Spanish clips of a show with English subtitles. If you need to practice your English reading skills, watch a video that has English subtitles, if you need to work on your English listening skills, watch a video that has Spanish subtitles. If you need help with both types of skills, watch both types of videos. Since "The Big Bang Theory" is a very funny show, watching it on Youtube will be a fun way for you to learn English faster. If you do not like that television show, try this technique with another television show. If you need any further help with English, please do not hesitate to send me a private message on here! Regards, Erin

I think you can focus more on listening, so don't follow translation (If any), that's how you will adapt to the dialect and pace of speech to improve your conversation skills. But to improve vocabulary, you'll need to read newspapers, novels, etc.
