The part of "羯諦羯諦<ぎゃていぎゃてい>、波羅羯諦<はらぎゃてい>、波羅僧羯諦<はらそうぎゃてい>、菩提薩婆訶<ぼうじそわか>" is a mantra（咒<しゅ>） or a incantation（呪文<じゅもん>）. They were transliterated（sounds were copied）, so meanings are not in kanjis（Chinese characters）as the same as 亜米利加<アメリカ>the US.
