"Der Kletterer in der Wand" or "an der Wand"
Das Bild an der Wand. Aber "Der Kletterer in der Wand." not an der Wand?
The positions of the picture and the climber are the same (please, just don't say, that the wall is not the same).
"In der Wand auch die Risse, die Ziegel, ..." can bee found.
The crack and the brick are really in the wall, but the climber (if he's not resting in the hole in the wall) is on the wall, like picture is.
Is it "in der Wand" in this case one kind of an exception or almost a phrase.
Mostly I'd like to find out, if "an der Wand" is totally wrong, if we're talking about climer's position.
