Depends on the context. If you already knew the specific good news the person was going to share then it would be fine. This would be an excellent one if you were referring to the Gospel and hearing someone give the Gospel or preach it. But, what is more normal for general good news would be to say it without the definite article: "I am looking forward to hearing good news from you."
