l'imperatif In l'imperatif, we don't write "s" a la 2e personne apres les finales en "e". So that means when using "tu", we have to be careful when the form ends with "e". But does 2e personne includes "vous"? Or "vous" in l'imperatif only means 2e plural? My question is why "diteS-moi" why "s" is not eliminated when using "vous" in l'imperatif?

I just asked my french teacher the exact same question the other day. She told me: "Since when was French ever logical?" Hahaha so I guess there's no good reason why we remove the "s" only for the 'tu' form...

So, can I say the rule that "s" is eliminated when the verb form end with "e" doesn't apply to "vous"?

Because "dites" is the 2nd plural, it corresponds to the pronoun "vous". You don't change anything with this pronoun. Usually, you don't even think about it because words end with "-ez" (ex: mangez), but "dites" is an irregular conjugation. But STILL, it corresponds to the 2nd plural ("vous") so you can't change anything about the way you write it. Hope it's clearer now !
