"Estoy ansioso" in English.
The expression "Estoy ansioso" is used when you can't wait for something. I was looking for a English equivalent, but anxious doesn't seem like the correct one. I think that because it means "ansiedad" in the negative sense form, and "Estoy ansioso" it's generally a positive one. Can you help me with this?

If a person is overly excited and can't wait to do something due to their anticipation we say they "have ants in their pants". It does not have a negative connotation.

To be impatient.
E.g. I am impatient to get started
'I am anxious to get started' or 'I am looking forward to getting started' also mean a similar thing.

I am sure that there is a more sophisticated thing to say, but I can't think of it off the top of my head.
In this situation, say someone is really excited to do something, I and a lot of other people say they have "ants in their pants".
Yes, seriously jeje.
