My question is, since there's no "dass", the clause should be in "declarative sentence order", means the verb should be in the second position. So this sentence should be: Ich hoffe nur, das klappt wenigstens. Considering the speaker wanna emphasize her mood, it could be: Ich hoffe nur, wenigstens klappt das. But why the verb is placed in the third position? In fact, I do feel confused about German sentence order. There're lots of orders here, but except the "time must be in front of place", lots of exceptions exist!
