One of the easier ones I like to recommend is 愛回家 - the spoken language is relatively easier to understand (I think)? And it has over 600+ episodes, 20~ ish minutes each. Great study material! Good luck ;)

What about comedies?

The films of Stephen Chow are good for comedy: Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer, the God of Cookery. Wong Kar-Wai's films are also great but more art-house: Happy Together, In the Mood for Love, Chung King Express. Other good films are: A Chinese Ghost Story, Ip Man and Infernal Affairs. Enjoy!
