i could always see the "FT" in UK TOP or BILLBOARD, but don't know how to use it. would u tell me what's mean of this word? and how to use it ?

That is featuring . as like `Amy Winehouse feat. Mos Def` : means Mos Def is joined her song or music.
it is not always means joined to sing or rap, sometimes only for producing or another joint. 
refer to the `duet` duet means join to sing. 
it is same meaning as Collaboration.
