Ok , before learning how to read Arabic you have to know that there ara a difference between arabic and english alphapits so it's not very good idea to know the pronounciation of them by writting it in english . you have to listen to them . for instance , the word حرف , I can say simply : it's Harf , but that's wrong because the alphapit (ح) here isn't pronounced as (H) or any other english one . my advice to you is to listen firstly . good luck :)
