exceed or surpass? The sales of our product exceed\surpass the sales of that of our competitors several times. Which one is the best??

In your example, both words make the same point. However, 'surpass' makes it more of a comparison between the the 2 companies. One more thing I notice is, with the words 'several times' at the end, you may have to change the tense, indicating that your sales "have exceeded or have surpassed" in the past, and more than once.
