come under Hi, everyone I am translating a paragraph about a feature of Portuguese grammar and I would like to know if it is wrog to say "come under"in the following paragraph: In "O prédio permanece inacabado" (The building remains unfinished), the gender of the noun "building", according to Rocha Lima, is marked exclusively by the syntactic component. Withing/From/By Lima's theory/model, if the referential is a sexual being, it COMES UNDER the morphological regularity rule" Thank you so much! Please! Thank you

Yes, you can say "comes under a rule" (although I haven't a clue what the rest of your text means). Perhaps a more common way to express it is to say something is "covered by a rule".
