Despite the reassurance of the health visitor that umbilical hernias usually go away by themselves as children grow I am still concerned about my son herniated umbilical. As I am a squeamish person if is difficult for me to look at his navel and wash him around the navel. It is so alien for me as his belly button looks like an inflated ball outside his navel.

Despite the reassurance of the health visitor that umbilical hernias (will ) usually go away by themselves as children grow,  I am still concerned about my son's umbilical hernia.
As I am a squeamish person,  IT is difficult for me to look at his navel and wash him around the navel.
 It is so alien TO me as his belly button looks like an inflated ball outside his navel/ like an inflated ball protruding out of it.
