Who is there? asked Pooh and it made me puzzled. Do you know Winnie the Pooh? There is a scene where Piglet cut a rope in six to help his six friends who were stuck in the pit get out. Rabbit were shocked and he asked Piglet if he could tie a knot. The dialogue is as follows: Rabbit: Can you tie a knot? Piglet: I cannot. Rabbit: Ah, so you can knot. (Misheard) Piglet: No, I cannot knot. Rabbit: Not knot? Then Pooh asks Rabbit, "Who's there?" Rabit: Pooh! Pooh: Pooh who? Rabit: No! Pooh, it's... (Rabbit became angry.) https://youtu.be/wg7LzfwUMJ8 Why does Pooh ask "Who is there" out of the blue? I know he is a bear of little brain, but I don't think he suffers from brain disease. Is it supposed to be funny? Or just contextless line of him?

it's because "knot not" sounds like "knock knock" which is the beginning of a "knock knock joke". So if someone says "knock knock" you reply with "Who's there?"

Hi, it's because "Not knot" sounds like "Knock knock". "Knock knock" is the opening of a joke to which someone must respond "Who's there?".
