It's been or It has been?
I was watching a tv series and while I was doing that, a girl said "It's been hit by a car". When I heard that I wondered if that phrase was incorrect, because I think she should have said "It has been hit by a car".
Can you tell me which sentence is correct? Is there any case where should I use the case of "subject + to be + present perfect form of the verb"?

It's is short for either "it is" or "it has". So she actually said "It has been hit by a car" but in the contracted form.

Both are correct. Actually, these sentence are the same, but in the first one "It's been hit by a car" the verbs "has" is contracted as " 's ". Can you understand? :D

The short form/contraction "it's" can be used both for "it is" and "it has".
