tomaru vs tomeru
I see in many of my lessons, a request to have someone stop. This is the 'te' form of the verb plus kudasai. But there seems to be two versions of this verb used in the examples:

tomeru -- tomette kudasai
tomaru -- tomatte kudasai

I am having trouble understanding the difference between these. If I wanted to tell the taxi driver to please stop here, which form should I use?

B  (ここで)とまって　ください。　(止まって下さい。)
どちらも、にちじょうかいわ　では　つかいます。　どちらも、日常会話では使います。
AとBを　げんみつ　に　つかいわけている　ネイティブ　は　ほとんど　いない　とおもいます。
AとBを厳密に使い分けているネイティブは、ほとんどいないと思います。
ほとんど　おなじ　いみ　と　かんがえて　いいと　おもいます。
ほとんど同じ意味と考えていいと思います。
もしかしたら　おなじ　いみ　かも　しれません。
もしかしたら、同じ意味かもしれません。

I think tomaru is an intransitive verb which doesn't need any object.
Tomeru is a transitive verb that needs an obiect (~を) -車を止めってください
