hello
What is the difference? : I eat an ice cream. I eat ice cream.
Ice cream or coffee are uncountable nouns. However, sometimes they are used like an ice cream or a coffee. I would appreciate if someone explain the difference.^^

“An ice cream” is short for “a serving / bowl of ice cream” or “an ice cream cone” etc.
Likewise, “a coffee” is short for “a cup of coffee” or some similar expression.

Hello,
I think that we say I EAT ICECREAM we are talking in general sense. I like ice cream so I eat ice cream. But the second sentence it is more suitable say I am eating an ice cream. In continous form.
